(And just one more reason to mind what you put in- on – around – your being )
I’ve been thinking about potty training and so I asked the library clerk if there were any toddler books on the subject – admitting my cluelessness. As she went to fetch those – a mother, whom had evidently overheard – approached with a book* tailored for the adult. I checked it out and immediately began reading. Everything about the author – her style of parenting – her values – seem to align with my own which , is pretty remarkable in itself. And – the potty training technique-makes a lot of sense and proved how truly clueless I was on the subject.
This all led me to think of the things we need or want in life and being able to properly receive -once it presents itself. I remember a time when I was overly cynical and made judgments based on very little. Very possibly could’ve dismissed the book – been too distracted overall- to commit – or, just not feeling well and lacking the impetus to read it. This could apply to all things in life.
Are we in a position to accept help at any given moment ? Are we receptive and open – not whirling with distractions, chatter, overstimulated and burdened by the all the toxins we bombard our body with…
I think there is a universal spirit – or something of the sort alreast, that escapes any possible imagining of it – but – inherently sense that it’s there and we are all connected by it. We are made of it. Now, when we ask – we shall receive and- usually, it’s by way of other people.
So – it’s another good reason not to trash our bodies, our minds or our spirits. We have the potential to use these vessels for good and maybe each one of these interactions – these links – where we are open and receptive; well enough to carry it on-to whatever comes next.
